The University of Delawares Institute for Public Administration (IPA) has appointed Kirsten McGregor as a Senior Fellow advising on Recover Delawarea new initiative that leverages IPAs public policy expertise and partnerships with public and private sector stakeholders to stimulate conversation, planning, and action for Delawares recovery from the economic, public health, and social impacts of the COVID-19 crisis.
Kirsten has a deep background in navigating organizations through the disaster recovery process, and were excited to bring her expertise to bear in supporting Delawares businesses and communities, said Troy Mix, IPA Associate Director and Recover Delaware lead.
Ms. McGregor is an economic recovery development professional and is Principal and Founder of Sagax Associates, LLC. Other major assignments include Senior Policy Advisor for President Obamas Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force, Economic Recovery Lead Consultant for the USVI following Hurricanes Irma and Maria, Economic Lead Coordinator for New Jersey following Hurricane Sandy, American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Coordinator for the US Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration, and Deputy Director of the Delaware Economic Development Office.
Ms. McGregors work with IPA will focus on assessing the scope of recovery challenges in Delaware; supporting community recovery efforts with training and educational materials; and providing direct technical assistance in the preparation of recovery action plans and funding strategies.
