Valdese is best known for her incredible work in the Conflict Resolution Program​ (CRP) where she contributes to the success of the team by leading workshops centered on conflict resolution, mediation, and difficult conversations as well. ​​

Happy #MeetUsMonday! Today we are highlighting Valdese West​, Assistant Policy Scientist at the Institute for Public Administration (IPA). Val is best known for her incredible work in the Conflict Resolution Program​ (CRP) where she contributes to the success of the team by leading workshops centered on conflict resolution, mediation, and difficult conversations as well. ​

What is working at IPA like?

It’s like having the greatest people you know under one roof working on mind blowing projects. At any given moment you can experience a shift from being coworkers to a family, supporting and inspiring each other.

Where is your happy place?

Anywhere where I can people watch with blue water

What is something people don’t know about you?

I was a bride in a Tom Thumb wedding when I was 10 years old, it was a full wedding ceremony and reception with all the bells and whistles. I think I’m technically still married to that guy LOL

What has been your favorite project at IPA?

I enjoy working with the local government heroes in the Delaware Municipal Clerks Institute, learning about each person’s path and aspirations is nothing short of inspiring.
